Reclaimed Chestnut Flooring
Although the American chestnut species has largely been wiped out by blight, it’s legacy still goes on thanks to reclaimed lumber. Chestnut was a popular choice for barn beams in the early days of America. Now, some of those beams have been salvaged and we have repurposed them to solid wood flooring. Chestnut appears somewhat similar to oak but it is slightly softer and has more character.
